I developed a passion for photography at an early age with the encouragement of my father who was a very keen photographer. I lived and worked on the Gold Coast for a while as a professional SCUBA Diving instructor and photographed my first wedding there about 16 years ago. My Diving career then took me to  live and work on several beautiful Island locations in QLD, Indonesia then to Cairns. These amazing places inspired and increased my love of photography and my profession started heading in a different direction. I met my wonderful husband-to-be in Cairns and after 7 years we re-located to the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland in 2001. I live with my husband Richard and our beautiful daughter Maddison.

I photograph weddings and portraits with style and in a comfortable, easy manner. I am known for my calm, happy and helpful nature particularly with regard to weddings which can be a little stressful for some people. (My stress-free approach probably resulted from a past occupation - see left)

I continually like to challenge myself with new methods and ways to produce the beautiful images that I guarantee you will love.

I regularly attend AIPP seminars to keep informed of developments in photography.

Richard Hill is usually found swinging a boom microphone for popular TV series. Currently he is working on Border Security, although he travelled extensively in the past working on Survivor,  Mythbusters and various documentaries. It was while filming a crocodile documentary in Far North Queensland that Richard and Kath met, married and settled in Cairns for several years before moving south again to their property on the Sunshine Coast.

Richard is also very involved in the business and regularly greets and talks with clients and occassionally assists on shoots. He makes great cappucinos and buys the best bickies too!

Donna is regularly seen around the studios of Kathy Hill Photography where she completes a large number of custom picture framing, matting and mounting jobs. You may detect a Kiwi accent but she will never let that get in the way of a friendly chat.

Donna was organising  her eldest daughter's wedding when she first met Kathy in 2006. A firm friendship was formed and Donna has also been an integral part of the business since.

Kimberley has been working with Kathy on a traineeship program since July 2008 and often accompanies Kathy to wedding or portrait shoots with a 3rd camera for those extra angles and perspectives. While you won't get too much chatter from Kimberley (see Donna for that) she certainly has a great eye for photography and the creative side of photoshop and album designing. Kimberley has already been recognised and awarded via several competitions for her wonderful photography.

Pebbles has to be mentioned as no-one  visits the studios without being greeted by the crazy grins and antics of 2 year old Pebbles, the dalmatian!

She loves a pat but you will have to keep an eye on those bickies!
